Website analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use our guides and to improve the website. Analytics can collect information such as pages visited, interactions, device and browser details, and approximate location. It uses cookies and similar identifiers to measure visits.

Google Analytics is currently configured to retain event-level data for 2 months and user-level data for 14 months. The user-data retention period restarts when new user activity is recorded. These settings do not limit the retention of standard aggregated reports. The cookie that remembers your privacy choice for 30 days is separate from this analytics data.
Cookies and your choices
Analytics cookies are off until you choose Allow analytics. You can choose Reject analytics and continue using the site. Open Privacy choices at any time to change your choice. Your choice is stored in a necessary cookie for up to 30 days, unless you delete it earlier.
When analytics cookies are not allowed, Google may still receive limited consent and measurement signals without using analytics cookies. We do not enable display-advertising cookies on JDJ. Our additional events for trip searches, trip links and official-site links are sent only after analytics consent. Actions taken before consent are not saved for later analytics submission.
You can review, block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Google also provides an Analytics opt-out browser add-on for supported browsers. The add-on applies to Google Analytics; it does not stop all information collection by websites.
Display advertising
Display advertising, including Google AdSense, is currently disabled on this website. Choosing Allow analytics does not enable display-advertising cookies. Before introducing display advertising, we will update this notice and provide the required advertising privacy choices.
Affiliate accommodation links
Some accommodation links are affiliate links to Booking.com through CJ. If you follow one and make a qualifying booking, we may receive a commission. These links are labelled near the booking options. Booking.com and CJ may process referral information and use cookies or similar technology under their own privacy notices. After you allow analytics, we may record a click on a marked accommodation link, together with its destination area and placement. This custom event does not include the booking URL, travel dates, prices or information you enter on a booking website. Actions taken before analytics consent are not saved for later submission. You can use the links without allowing our analytics.
Site operation and security
Our hosting and security services record technical information about requests, such as the requested page, time and IP address, to operate the website, investigate errors and protect against misuse.
Messages and corrections
If you contact us, your message may include your name, reply address and any information you choose to share. We use that information to respond and handle the request or correction. Please do not include passport details, payment information, passwords or other sensitive information.
Links to other websites
Our guides link to venues, transport operators and other external websites. When you follow a link, the destination website’s privacy practices apply. Review its privacy information before providing personal details.
